Are you making your exercise routine a priority? If you are not, you may need to reorganize your schedule. Now that summer is over, school has started for the kids and family schedules are in full swing, it’s time to squeeze in time for you. Here are a few ideas on how to manage your time wisely and make exercise a priority.
• Schedule a meeting with yourself to exercise.
• Take a walk while kids are at practice.
• Schedule shorter workouts – you can burn calories with intense shorter workouts.
• Make a plan for your workout and tell a co-worker about your workout.
• Get up earlier. It could be as simple as a quick 20 minute walk before you start your day.
• Instead of driving to work, bike to work.
• Take the stairs and skip the escalator.
• Revamp your lunch routine. A 10 minute walk at lunch could be one of your short workouts throughout the day.
• Grab a book or study material while you are walking on the treadmill.
• Adjust some of your activities to involve friends and family.
